The Jama'atu Izalatil Bid'ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS) has given the Emir of Zazzau a 30-day ultimatum to reopen eight of its mosques that were reportedly closed within and outside the Zaria Emirate, or face legal action.

The organization made this known through its legal representatives, A.T. Abubakar & Associates, stating that a formal demand letter had already been submitted regarding the matter.

According to the group, if the mosques are not reopened within the stipulated period, it will seek redress in court to protect what it considers its lawful rights under the Constitution and other relevant laws.

The development is expected to spark further discussions among the parties involved, while legal proceedings remain a possibility if an amicable resolution is not reached.

Observers believe that dialogue and mutual understanding may offer the best opportunity for a peaceful settlement, although the courts remain an available avenue for resolving disputes where necessary.
